MY MINING MINDSET
"Mining can no longer be pursued as an investment for its own sake; it must align with the concept of intergenerational sustainable development. This requires dedicating time to build local relationships, integrating communities into the production process, and ensuring a more enduring time horizon that transcends short-term profit objectives."

It was December 2011 when I first set foot in a gold mine. I was 15 years old and found myself on the other side of the world in Central America, where my father was working at the time. It was a reality light years away from my everyday life but one that sparked a profound realization: what I wanted to do "when I grew up." It was there that I decided my future would lie in the mining industry.
Today, I'm an Italian Geologist with an MSc in Earth Sciences for Risk and Environmental Management, specializing in Geosciences for Environmental Sustainability. During my studies at the Università degli Studi di Perugia (Italy) and the Montanuniversität Leoben: Chair of Mining Engineering and Mineral Economics (Austria), I developed expertise in Mining-Economic Geology and honed my skills in designing mining projects for developing countries.
This journey laid the foundation for the creation and development of the Vuelta concept. The project is rooted in extensive specialized training that enabled me to merge Innovation, Responsibility, and Geology. Through exciting collaborations with industry professionals, I have shaped my approach to this field. Their support, guidance, and encouragement not only enhanced my skills but also fueled my enthusiasm for bringing my ideas to life.
