IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT DOING MINING, IT IS ABOUT BELIEVING IN MINING. MY FIRST EXPERIENCE AT THE 10th EXPO SAN JUAN MINERA 2024 ENDED SUCCESSFULLY

📍On 23 May, my first experience at Expo San Juan Minera 2024, a highly prestigious event in the sector, with the presence of #mining companies, suppliers, international representatives and key players from the public and private sectors, came to an end.

It was a real #honour to be able to actively participate in this #international event and it was, above all, inspiring to be able to share my #Italian 🇮🇹 geological point of view to face incredible conversations with exceptional colleagues! 🤝

🇦🇷🇪🇺 Argentina and Europe are closely linked by the Memorandum of Understanding on Sustainable Raw Materials Value Chains signed by their respective Presidents on 13 June 2023.

The aim of the MOU is to stimulate European investment in the entire #valuechain of a long list of #criticalrawmaterials in which Argentina has significant potential, starting with the lithium value chain and extending to other critical minerals such as #copper and #rareearths, among others.

✅ The Roadmap is based on 4 fundamental Pillars, synergetic and concomitant in their objectives:

Pillar 1: Building critical and strategic raw material value chains. 

Pillar 2: Cooperation in research and innovation along the raw materials value chain. 

Pillar 3: Co-operation on environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria and international standards.

Pillar 4: Deployment of infrastructures for project development. 

I was received at the 🇪🇺 European Union stand and had the opportunity to discuss sensitive issues on the topic of responsible sourcing of critical raw materials. This opportunity led me to realise that it is important to stimulate useful opportunities to facilitate technological, scientific and cultural cooperation between Argentinean and European realities, and that hashtag#Geology can be the bridge that connects horizons by facilitating human, technical and cultural relationships.
